How is this different from other approaches?

Rolfing SI is not a technique but a change process focused on a goal and rooted in structural principles. Then too, each session also has goals, and each session builds on progress from previous sessions.

For example:
Early in your process, we will work with your lower legs and feet because, in one way, you are like a tall building. You know tall buildings need good foundations. So does your structure. Commonly, after this session, clients say more of each foot is on the floor; ankles and legs move more easily, legs feel more dependable; or the body feels more rested. I often give each client something to notice each day to support and reinforce what they are now experiencing.
